Most people don't realise this, but a "100% cotton shirt" in the market is rarely 100% cotton. The fabric might be — but the interlining, threads, buttons, fusing, and reinforcements are almost always polyester or synthetic adhesives. Those tiny hidden pieces make the whole garment non-compostable. We refuse to compromise in every aspect of our garments.
THREADS
All of our garments are stitched using 100% cotton threads, naturally dyed by rural artisans. The process is slow, labour-intensive, and nearly forgotten because it isn't profitable in the modern system. Threads are unwound from cones, wound onto wooden blocks, dyed with plant pigments, and wound back again — by hand. The artisans were forced to find other jobs in the city as the craft was being forgotten, but now we are helping to bring them back to doing what they do best.
"Our threads cost us at least 8 times more than conventional chemically dyed polyester blend threads that are widely used today."
"STITCHED BY HANDS, DYED BY HEART."
This isn't just a thread choice — it's job creation, craft revival, and philosophy in one line.
BUTTONS
We use only natural shell buttons, sourced locally. No recycled plastics disguised as "sustainable." Due to the nature of natural shell buttons, no 2 buttons are the same.
INTERLINING
Most brands glue a polyester sheet inside collars and cuffs, permanently fusing plastic into the structure of the shirt. This is the part almost no brand talks about. It's a simple solution that works effortlessly, sure, but we refused to take that shortcut and went all the way.
"We use our own 100% cotton fabric as interlining, multiple layers carefully stitched by hand — not glued. This means: No adhesives. No plastics. No hidden toxins."
"LUXURY ISN'T LOUD. IT'S HIDDEN IN THE PARTS MOST PEOPLE NEVER SEE."
And every hidden part in our garment follows the same rule: If it's not natural, we don't use it.
